Jeanna L. Bourquin, 85, of Manlius, Illinois passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at St. John's Catholic Church, Walnut, Illinois with Father Thomas Shaw, officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the service Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at St.John's Catholic Church, Walnut. Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery, Princeton. Due to Covid-19 masks and social distancing will be required and the number of people in the building will be restricted.
She was born February 14, 1935 in Princeton the daughter of Dr. Milton Arthur and Louise (Maas) Nix.
Jeanna married Kenneth Bourquin on August 25, 1956 at St. Louis Catholic Church. They shared 64 years together. He survives in Manlius.
Also surviving are four children: Julie Frutiger of Moline, Illinois, Jeanine (Gerard) Kunkel, of Wyanet, Illinois, Judy (Dave) Moore of Princeton, and Mike (Renelle Hicks) Bourquin of Princeton; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Don Nix, and her half-brother, Milton Nix.
She graduated from Princeton High School with the Class of 1953 and attended the University of Iowa.
She was a member at St. John's Catholic Church in Walnut. Jeanna enjoyed her book club friends and her Friday Princeton luncheon friends. She loved her dog, Boyd. Most of all she cherished her family.
