Kenneth A. Dunn, 83, of Tiskilwa died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at his home.
Born April 26, 1928, in Freeport to Henry and Hazel (Welch) Dunn, he married Agnes E. Carrington in July 1967 in Goreville. She survives.
He graduated from Polo High School in Polo. He worked at Kraft Foods in Millegeville and retired from LTV Steel in Hennepin in 1993. He served in the U.S. Army as a private first class during the Korean Conflict.
He was past president of LTV Retirees and was a former Cub Scout leader in Polo and Tiskilwa. He was a member of American Legion Post 125 in Princeton.
Also surviving are one daughter, Cynthia J. Haryy of Apple Valley, Calif.; two sons, Randy (Diana) Dunn of Texas and Ray (Loretta) Carrington of Wyanet; five grandchildren, Brad (Stephanie) Carrington and Brian Carrington, both of Wyanet, Angie Carrington of Ballwin, Mo., Liz (James) White of Apple Valley, Calif., and Danny Lacoste, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps; many great-grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara (Ron) Fager of Elkhart, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Gale Lyn Carrington; and one granddaughter, Lori Rae Carrington.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Tom Ostrander and Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 125 of Princeton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
