Betty Jean Linden, 80, of Bradford died at 11:35 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at her home.

Born Feb. 11, 1930, in Bradford to Artie and Ethel (Robison) Scott, she married Ernest David Linden Sept. 20, 1949, in Nashua, Iowa. He died July 10, 2003.

Surviving are two sons, David (Rowene) Linden of DeKalb and Larrie (Barb) Linden of Bradford; one daughter, Elizabeth (Phillip) Reed of Lacon; four sisters, Josephine Grubaugh of Antelope, Calif., Carol (Bob) Ratliff of Princeton, Marjorie Harmon of Tiskilwa and Jane (Mike) Schumacher of Round Lake; three grandchildren, Laura (Kyle) Fenn of Victor, N.Y., Amy (Luke) Hawkins of Kewanee and Katie Linden of Hoffman Estates; and three great-grandchildren, Megan Fenn, Abby Fenn and Jackson Hawkins.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Bob Scott; and one sister, Francis Linden.

She was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Boyd's Grove United Methodist Church in Bradford.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Boyd's Grove United Methodist Church, Bradford, with the Rev. Lee Legg officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Bradford.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Bradford.

Memorials may be directed to the Boyd's Grove United Methodist Church in Bradford.
