Earl Trobaugh, 82

November 30, 1934 to February 11, 2017


Earl Trobaugh, 82, of Bradford, IL went to be with the Lord on Feb. 11, 2017 at his home with his family by his side.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunker Hill Church of God in Buda, IL with Pastor John Erickson and Pastor Stephen Myong, officiating. Burial will take place in Bradford Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 4-7pm at the Grant- Johnson Funeral Home in Bradford with Masonic Rites accorded by the Wyoming Masonic Lodge #479 at 7:00 p.m.

He was born on Nov. 30, 1934 in Marshall County, IL the son of Otto and Helen (Baker) Trobaugh. He married Shirley (Law) Trobaugh on Sept. 18, 1955 in Bradford, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters: Denise (Ed) Carter of Ormond Beach, FL and Diana (Paul) Cobb of Bradford;one son, Jeff (Mary) Trobaugh of Bradford; six grandchildren: Amanda, Mitch, Natalie, Allison, Carly, Nicholas and five great-grandchildren: Ayden, Derek, Chase, Felix, and Greta.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and an infant son.

Earl "Duke" worked at B.F. Goodrich in Henry, IL and retired in 1993. He was a member of the Wyoming Masonic Lodge #479.

He loved his family and spending time with them playing games. He spent most of his leisure time on his farm.He also loved hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and critter cruising which were among his favorite things to do in the great outdoors. He also enjoyed working on and collecting antique cars and tractors. He could be found driving the old John Deere tractors in the annual Labor Day Parade.

He attended Bunker Hill Church of God in Buda. His family and friends will greatly miss his wonderful sense of humor and wit. He was a joy and a friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Memorials may be made to the Bradford Rescue Squad or the Bunker Hill Church of God, Buda
